Delete from inside the app

1. Open NeatEat and go to the Profile tab.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Tap Delete account and confirm. Your account and associated data are scheduled for permanent deletion.

Request deletion by email

If you can’t access the app, email privacy@neateat.app from the address on your account (or tell us the email you used) and ask us to delete your account. To protect you, we may verify your identity before acting. You can also use the form at the bottom of this page.

What gets deleted

• Your account and profile (email, name, and sign-in identifiers).
• Your meal plans, saved recipes, and preferences (budget, dietary preferences, allergens, store, household).
• Your grocery lists and ratings.
• Usage data tied to your account, where it is not required for the limited purposes below.

What we may keep, and why

We may retain a limited set of records where the law requires it or to protect the Service — for example, basic transaction or security logs, or records needed for legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes. Such records are kept only as long as necessary and are then deleted or de-identified. Aggregated or de-identified data that can no longer be linked to you may be retained.

Timeline

Account deletion begins as soon as your request is confirmed. We complete deletion of personal data within a commercially reasonable period — typically within 30 days — except for the limited records described above. Backups are purged on our normal rotation schedule.
