Terms of Service
These Terms (and End-User License Agreement) govern your use of NeatEat. Please read them — by using the Service you agree to them.

1. Acceptance of these Terms
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. You must be at least 13 years old to use NeatEat.
2. License to use the Service
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the NeatEat app for your personal, non-commercial use on devices you own or control. We retain all rights not expressly granted.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break the law or infringe others’ rights using the Service;
- copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or resell the Service except as permitted by law;
- interfere with, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems;
- upload content that is unlawful, infringing, or harmful; or
- use the Service to build a competing product or to scrape data at scale.
4. Accounts
You are responsible for the information you provide and for keeping your account credentials secure, including any Google or Apple sign-in you use. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at support@neateat.app if you suspect unauthorized use. You can delete your account at any time — see Account & Data Deletion.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of the content you create in NeatEat, such as your meal plans, saved recipes, and notes (“User Content”). You grant us a limited license to host, store, and display your User Content solely to operate the Service for you (for example, to sync it across your devices). You are responsible for your User Content and for having the rights to it.
6. Meal planning is informational
NeatEat helps you plan meals and grocery spending. Recipe suggestions, budget figures, and grocery lists are provided for general planning purposes and may not be exact. Always check ingredient labels yourself for allergens and dietary needs and use your own judgment when shopping and cooking. NeatEat does not provide medical, nutritional, or financial advice.
7. Ads and affiliate links
The Service is free and supported by advertising and affiliate links. By using the Service you understand it may show ads and contain affiliate links, and that purchases you make through partners are governed by those partners’ terms.
8. Paid subscriptions (future)
Placeholder — reserved for future paid features. Auto-renewal terms TBD. NeatEat may later offer optional paid subscriptions. If and when it does, any subscription will be billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, will auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and can be managed or cancelled in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Specific prices, billing periods, and auto-renewal disclosures will be presented at the point of purchase and added to these Terms before any paid feature launches.
9. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, brand, and content (other than User Content), is owned by [LEGAL_ENTITY_NAME] or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. The NeatEat name and marks may not be used without our permission.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g. ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability) will survive.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any plan or price estimate is accurate.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, [LEGAL_ENTITY_NAME] will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or USD $50.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold [LEGAL_ENTITY_NAME] harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
14. Apple & Google app-store terms
If you download NeatEat from the Apple App Store or Google Play, you also agree to that store’s terms. Apple and Google are not responsible for the Service or for support, and are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms to the extent those store terms require.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and disputes will be resolved in the courts located there, unless applicable law provides otherwise.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the “last updated” date and, for material changes, provide additional notice where required. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
