Ingredients

For 4 servings

  • 340 g sweet dinner roll
  • 340 g deli roast beef
  • 140 g barbecue sauce
  • 240 g cheddar cheese sauce
  • 56 g butter
  • 0.25 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.25 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tsp everything bagel seasoning

Instructions

  1. 1

Preheat the oven to 175°C/350°F, allowing about 10 minutes. Put the butter in a small oven-safe ramekin and place it in the warming oven for 3–5 minutes, until melted. Remove carefully with oven gloves. Prepare the sliders while the oven finishes heating.

  2. 2

Use a connected slab of 12 sweet dinner rolls weighing about 340 g. Slice the slab horizontally, keeping the rolls connected. Brush about 1 teaspoon of the melted butter over the base of a 23 × 33 cm (9 × 13 inch) baking dish, then place the bottom slab inside.

  3. 3

Separate the fully cooked, ready-to-eat roast beef slices and arrange them evenly over the roll bottoms. Spoon the barbecue sauce over the beef, spread the purchased ready-to-eat cheddar cheese sauce evenly on top, and replace the upper slab of rolls.

  4. 4

Stir the garlic powder and onion powder into the remaining melted butter. Brush it over the roll tops, sprinkle with the everything bagel seasoning, and cover the dish with foil without pressing down on the rolls.

  5. 5

Bake on the middle rack for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for about 7 minutes more, until the tops are golden and the filling at the center reaches 74°C/165°F on a food thermometer. If necessary, cover again and continue baking in 3–5-minute intervals until that temperature is reached.

  6. 6

Let stand for 3 minutes, then cut along the roll divisions into 12 sliders. Serve three sliders per portion.
