Ingredients

For 4 servings

  • 200 g rolled oats
  • 360 g apple
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 32 g chia seed
  • 720 ml unsweetened soy drink

Instructions

  1. 1

Wash and core the apple, keeping the peel. Coarsely grate it into a large mixing bowl, using 360 g of grated apple.

  2. 2

Add the rolled oats, cinnamon, chia seed and unsweetened soy drink. Stir thoroughly, breaking up any clumps of chia.

  3. 3

Cover and refrigerate at 4°C or below for 8–12 hours overnight, until the oats soften and the mixture thickens. This passive chilling time is additional to the 10 minutes of active prep; no cooking is needed.

  4. 4

Stir well and divide into four portions. Serve cold, keeping any remaining portions covered in the refrigerator and eating them within 3 days of preparation.
