For 4 servings

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons taco seasoning
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 8 flour tortillas
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup lettuce
  • 1 tomato
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 onion

Instructions

  1. 1

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

  2. 2

Add diced onion to the skillet and sauté until translucent, about 3 minutes.

  3. 3

Add ground beef to the skillet and cook, breaking it up with a spatula, until browned and cooked through, about 5-6 minutes.

  4. 4

Drain excess fat from the skillet.

  5. 5

Stir in taco seasoning and water, mixing well, and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes until thickened.

  6. 6

Warm tortillas in a microwave or on a pan for a few seconds on each side.

  7. 7

Dice the tomato and shred the lettuce while beef is cooking.

  8. 8

Assemble the tacos by placing a portion of the beef mixture into each tortilla and topping with cheese, lettuce, tomato, and a dollop of sour cream.
