Ingredients

For 4 servings

  • 300 g spaghetti
  • 400 g canned tomatoes
  • 250 g frozen spinach
  • 1 onion
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp red chili flakes
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • salt — to taste
  • black pepper — to taste

Instructions

  1. 1

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

Meanwhile, finely chop the onion and mince the garlic.

  3. 3

In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, and sauté until the onion is translucent, about 3 minutes.

  4. 4

Add the red chili flakes and dried oregano, stirring for 30 seconds until fragrant.

  5. 5

Pour in the canned tomatoes, season with salt and black pepper, and let it simmer for 5 minutes.

  6. 6

Add the frozen spinach to the tomato sauce, stirring occasionally, until the spinach is heated through, about 4-5 minutes.

  7. 7

Combine the cooked spaghetti with the sauce, tossing until well-coated. Serve immediately.
