Ingredients
For 4 servings
- 4 plain bagel
- 400 g deli turkey breast
- 100 g cheddar cheese
- 240 g tomato
Instructions
- 1
Heat the oven to 200°C/400°F. Use plain bagels weighing about 100 g each, made without egg or egg glaze, and ready-to-eat sliced turkey with no egg-based binders; check the labels. Rinse and thinly slice the tomato, then thinly slice the cheddar.
- 2
Split the bagels and arrange all eight halves cut-side up on a baking sheet. Toast in the oven for 4 minutes.
- 3
Transfer the bagel tops to a plate. Divide the turkey evenly over the four bottom halves, using 100 g per sandwich, and top each with 25 g cheddar. Return the bottoms to the oven for 6–8 minutes, until the turkey is warmed through and the cheese has melted.
- 4
Divide the tomato slices among the warm sandwiches, replace the bagel tops and serve immediately.
