Ingredients
For 4 servings
- 1 pound ground beef
- ½ onion
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 4 ounce cheddar cheese
- 16.3 ounce refrigerated biscuit dough
- 3 tablespoon butter
- 2 clove garlic
- ¼ cup Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- 1
Heat the oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Finely chop the onion, mince the garlic, cut the cheddar into 8 equal cubes, and finely grate the Parmesan.
- 2
Put the beef and onion in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook for 8–10 minutes, breaking the beef into small crumbles, until the onion is softened and the beef is cooked through, 160°F/71°C. Drain excess fat, then stir in the Worcestershire sauce, ½ teaspoon salt, and ¼ teaspoon black pepper. Let cool for 5 minutes.
- 3
Separate the dough into 8 biscuits and flatten each into a roughly 5-inch round. Divide the beef mixture evenly among the centers and top each with a cheddar cube. Pull the dough up around the filling and pinch the seams firmly closed. Place seam-side down on the baking sheet, about 2 inches apart.
- 4
Melt the butter in a small microwave-safe bowl in short bursts, then stir in the garlic. Brush over the tops and sides of the bundles and sprinkle evenly with the Parmesan.
- 5
Bake for 18–22 minutes, until the biscuit dough is deep golden brown and the sides look baked rather than doughy. If the tops brown too quickly, loosely cover with foil for the final few minutes.
- 6
Let stand for 5 minutes before serving. Serve 2 cheeseburger bombs per person.
