- 200 g dried lentils
- 1 onion
- 3 clove garlic
- 2 carrot
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- salt — to taste
- black pepper — to taste
- 1 L water
- 1 vegetable stock cube

Rinse the dried lentils in cold water and set aside.

Peel and dice the potatoes into small cubes.

Dice the onion and carrots, and mince the garlic cloves.

In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.

Add the onions and garlic, sautéing until the onions are translucent.
