- 800 g canned tomatoes
- 200 g red lentils
- 1 onion
- 1 carrot
- 2 clove garlic
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- salt — to taste
- black pepper — to taste
- 500 ml water

Rinse the red lentils under cold water and set aside.

Chop the onion and carrot finely, and mince the garlic cloves.

In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and carrot. Sauté for 5 minutes until the onion becomes translucent.
