Ingredients

For 4 servings

  • 900 g salmon fillet
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 5 g salt
  • 1.5 tsp sweet paprika
  • 1.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. 1

Preheat the oven to 190°C/375°F with a rack in the middle, allowing about 10 minutes for heating. Meanwhile, line a 33 × 46 cm rimmed baking tray with baking parchment and mix the brown sugar, salt, sweet paprika, garlic powder and black pepper in a small bowl.

  2. 2

Use one whole skin-on salmon fillet. Pat it dry with paper towels and place it skin-side down on the prepared tray. Brush the flesh with all the olive oil, then spread all the seasoning mixture evenly over it.

  3. 3

Bake for approximately 18–25 minutes, checking from 18 minutes onward. Insert an instant-read thermometer into the thickest part without touching the tray; the salmon must reach 63°C/145°F. If necessary, continue baking in 3-minute intervals until it reaches that temperature.

  4. 4

Cut the salmon into four equal portions and serve immediately.
