- 400 g pasta
- 100 g dried lentils
- 400 g canned diced tomatoes
- 1 onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
- salt — to taste
- black pepper — to taste
- 500 ml water

Rinse the dried lentils thoroughly under cold water.

In a pot, bring the water to a boil, add the lentils, and cook for 10 minutes until tender. Drain and set aside.
